Spear Manufacturing’s Dream Comp Gen 2 Is A Fire Breather.

This is a neat and effective muzzle brake for those looking to make their S.B.R.’s or AR-15 pistols a lot more interesting. It is called the Dream Comp Gen 2 and it comes from a small company called Spear Manufacturing (they’re also known as Titan USA). However, it is currently unavailable for purchase at the moment. Nonetheless…

This muzzle brake, along with it’s included crush washer, weighs in at 3.53oz. It is constructed of steel that has been nitrided for a slightly shiny, black appearance. It has an approximate overall length of 2.6″. It does have 0.685″-wide wrench flats machined into the base. However, you can also tighten it down by utilizing the forward area of the muzzle break as wrench flats.

I think I put roughly 200 rounds through Dream Comp Gen 2. And I must say, it’s pretty effective at reducing recoil and making fireballs.

Spear Manufacturing’s Dream Comp Gen 2 is comprised of 3 chambers, two small top vents, and ∅0.275″ bullet passageway. As far as I know, this thing was/is only offered in a 1/2″-28 UNEF thread pattern. And, being how the bullet passageway measures only 0.275″ across, it can’t accommodate 9x19mm Parabellum’s projectile. This means you should only install it on guns that use .223 Remington, 5.56x45mm NATO, .22 LR, .22 Magnum, or FN 5.7x28mm.

Along with being an effective muzzle brake, this thing was also machined and finished nicely. If you like the “tanker brake” look, then you’ll like this.

Thanks for reading this article. I put time into making sure that it was well constructed. If you have any questions, comments, or criticisms then do not hesitate to post them down below. I will try to answer any questions as soon as I can.
